Virginia Center Commons – Glen Allen, VA
This looks like another mall entrance, because it was, but this has been converted to a junior anchor entrance and it has been as long as I can remember, but up until this visit this was some sort of a bounce house place. Now it is an auction company, and just look at the pitiful shape of the entrance. First off, no reputable mall management company would put a junior anchor in place of a mall entrance, nor would they allow any tenant to keep their entrance looking like this. It looks terrible!
Virginia Center Commons was the last indoor mall to be built in the Richmond metropolitan area. This mall was owned by Simon Property Group until 2014 and it has definitely has been falling since. Most of the mall is closed off and there is only one dedicated mall entrance (the rest are closed off and lead to inaccessible parts of the mall).
