This is the Roanoke Higher Education, located at 108 N. Jefferson St. in Roanoke, VA.

This building opened in 1931 as Norfolk & Western Railway’s headquarters. In 1997, Norfolk Southern donated the building to Downtown Roanoke, Inc, and after an extensive renovation, reopened in 2000 as the Roanoke Higher Education Center.

This is one of my favorite Art Deco buildings, as the extensive renovations and open access make this building just as unique as the Roanoke Higher Education Center’s education.edu domain.
