Former DoubleTree Hotel – Military Circle Mall

This is the former DoubleTree at the Military Circle Mall in Norfolk, Virginia. The hotel closed in 2009, and before being a DoubleTree it was a Sheraton. In the right light, you can see that the hotel rooms are gutted since the hotel owner *was* working to renovate the hotel. Recently though, the paint that has covered the doors has been scraped off and the condemned stickers were taken down.

Let it also be known that the City of Norfolk has the worst GIS website ever. Instead of using a system developed by an organization that specializes in software development, they use this piddly thing that they made themselves, and it flat out doesn’t work.
